Description
A couple of posts back, I mentioned that there were two glass houses in Bergianska Trädgården.
After visiting the first, Victoriahuset, we moved on to the other one which is known as the Edvard Anderson Conservatory.
The gentleman it is named after was a successful businessman who, in 1936, bequeathed a sum of money to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to construct a conservatory primarily focused on plants from the Mediterranean region, an area he was particularly fond of visiting.
This is a plant from the conservatory. I must apologise but I have no idea what it is, though I suspect it is an orchid of some kind. Sadly, I've never been known for taking notes and, consequently, have forgotten the names of just about every plant I saw there.
But they look nice. :-)
