Description

"It is sometimes said that those who eat the flesh of a mermaid become immortal... though I'm afraid mortality is the likely outcome for anyone who tries it on with this mermaid..." This dragon girl rising from the waves is rendered in Poser 6. V4.2 with Sayuri hair (Wyrdsisters, DAZ) and Creatura Serpenta tail (DAZ). The bikini top is the tube-dress from Shadowcat Studios (part of the CP birthday bag) with a transparency map applied. Its an experiment in kicking up a storm in Poser... The hard work is in the materials, using large dimension textures to prevent aliasing the bump maps etc. The ocean mesh used here was created in Bryce 6.1. It has two layers- one supplies "ambience" (both diffuse and ambient maps) and the upper one its partly transparent and has the surface diffuse map and the highlight, reflection etc. Bump maps are used to add fine texture to the wave surfaces. The magical island background was rendered in Bryce 6.1 and includes the pagoda and bridge from jotasjmvc's chinese bridge (download from ShareCG).
