Description
"East Wind Rain" was reportedly a possible coded reference to an attack on the United States of America by Imperial Japanese forces in 1941. USS Nevada (BB 36) manages to get underway and makes for the opening of the southern entrance to the basin. The captain decided to beach her at hospital point after taking two bomb hits near the 1010 dry dock area of the fairway.
