I have been trying to get a usable shot of a White-tailed Deer fawn for several months with little success even though I see them several times a week
My 55-200mm lens does not reach out far enough (and I can't get close enough)to get a crisp image, lol. This is the best shot I have managed so far. This attentive fawn was about 100' away from me and the shot was taken late in the day.
This individual has shed most of it's white spots and it's new reddish tan color is coming in. All the spots will be gone in another week or so I think.

Fantastic. I get closer all the time but I'm in the car and the little ones are along the side of the road grazing in the ditches. Couldn't get a camera shot if I tried like that. :-) Beautiful.
