Description

This was the ultimate objective of the trip featured in the previous uploads - an amazing little chamber only about 36cm (14 inches) high, just enough room for a camera and eye! You wouldn't dare try to go in there in case you damaged the formations, but luckily due to it's 'remote' location at the top of a long, narrow, near vertical bedding plane not too many people make the trip to see it. The water level in the chamber fluctuates (or goes up and down if you're reading this late at night !) creatng the pom-pom like crystal formations on the end of the stalactites. A lovely little chamber, due to it's size and the lightness of the stal it proved challenging to get a descent pic, so I hope you like this one. [Handy hint: If you can't remember the difference between stalactites and stalagmites, remind yourself that "tights come down and mites go up"!] 8-) Moz.
