Description

After the 'pretties', the 'gritties' - a quick view into a coal mine in the Forest of Dean (England). This is the 'tall' main tramming level that connects to a 1 in 2 incline about 80m from surface. The working areas are a lot smaller, back-breaking work literally!! The mine is also free from methane (fire damp) - otherwise I wouldn't have contemplated taking camera gear in there! Cheers Moz.
