Description
I scanned this one from a print of a slide I made in the 1980s in Co. Donegal, Ireland. It was the period when I turned over every Irish stone, and I found these old fishing nets in a village on the Splendid Donegal coast. Looking at their bright orange colour, and the clumps of daisies, I can hear singing Paddy Boy in the background. I dedicate this shot to Declan, who hasn't been well recently. I hope you feel better now. BTW, I really should try to scan my old Irish photos one of these days, but it's a Herculean task, because I'm an obsessive shooter! ;D)

Being half Irish myself (the better half I think) I can appreciate this fully. Adding that I come from a commercial fishing area on the Gulf Coast and know these families well, I can get the total feel of this too. Excellent and I'm sure he will find great enjoyment in this shot. :-) I know I did.

wonderful shot,and yes i agree a herculean task,i remember when i scaned the first time all our photos,but then once it is done you just have to follow up,but its a huge task depends on the amount. well instead on an excessive photographer you will be an excessive scanner heheheh. well done on the dedication and i hope declan gets well.

what can i say, only thank you and thanks for thinking of me. When i look at this wonderful old photo I thought it was older then the 80's because of the haystacks in the background.
