Description


Looking back across the dip of the coal seam (in a Forest of Dean Free mine, England) along the main gate (tramming level) - the coal workings go up dip to the left. The roof is here is good stone with some extra support from the wooden props. Cheers Moz.

Ah, bringing back memories. :) I didn't work coal; I did hardrock mining, so our veins were verticals, so the stopes look different, but it sure is fun to see the underground. Thanks for sharing. Great pic.
