Description
Situated on the Grand Union Canal Stoke Bruerne, in Northamptonshire, is 'gongoozler' heaven! The canal is like another street in the town, lined with shops, pubs and restaurants.
A Gongoozler is a person who enjoys watching activity on the canals in the United Kingdom. The term is also often used in a more general way to describe those who have an interest in canals and the canal life, but do not actively participate.
And we thought we were just tourists!

So strange is all of this..I have seen canal boats and canal house boats..made long and to fit the canal, not at all like houseboats near here.
