Description

After repairing the Tesseract drive while in orbit around Gliese 581c, the crew soon attempts to return to Earth. Unfortunately, while it works, the drive somehow latches onto the gravity radiating from the blackhole at the center of the Milkyway. They are now heading for the core of the galaxy. about three days later they are able to safely shut the drive down. Using there Hall Effect thrusters to bring the ship to a stop, they find a curios for of life. A metallic based tree living on a asteriod, faraway from any solar body.

Yeah, I read the story. I liked it too. I got the idea for the tree from several stories actually. The idea behind this series of images was to combine the ideas of Star Trek (TOS), Battlestar Galatica (TOS), Lost in Space (TV), Classic Rocketship art, and various other ideas into one story line.
