Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Stunning capture of what's got to be a 57 Chevy(just being picky..it's the only one with the wide fluted trim on the rear fins...sorry once a petrol head always a ...!) I just love the colours and metailc shine it just made me think of: "That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favourite song The nights are getting warmer it won't be long Wont be long till the summer comes Now that the boys are here again The boys are back in town (the boys are back in town)" by Irish band Thin Lizzy from the album 'Jailbreak' 1976

Great effects depicted in this foto of what looks like a grille, or something that could pass as venetian blinds on a car, Marilyn. As for the year, I owned a '56 Chevy Del Rey for years, which is one step down from a Bel Air, but that was a long time ago, so I can't accurately pass judgement on what I see here until I look at my several folders of Chevrolet fotos. And, don't forget to check out my plumeria for the day, something you should like.

almost an abstract, almost a painting or print, the textures & light on this could even be a neon painting. A really fine evocation, Marilyn, and filled with your typical sense of the immediate power of an object or living being, and of its illumined light. Very vivid piece.
