Description
Our cat, Checkers, lost her battle with her oral cancer (SCC) and crossed Rainbow Bridge on August 12, 2009. She had continually gotten worse and we decided that it was time to ease her pain. Her final road trip (she always hated road trips) was to the vet that evening. She went peacefully and is now free to chase birds, butterflies and lizards.
She is now resting on the lap of Jesus... how cool is that!!
I miss her sweet "kissies" and the way she would follow me from room to room. I miss her terribly but look forward to the day in heaven when I see her come running toward me, saying "Hey" in her sweet, quiet, meow way.
I don't know why she had to leave us so soon, but I do know that our God does NOT make mistakes! He is good in ALL things. I am thankful to Him for the time we shared with her. We will never forget “The Checkers”.

Sorry about Checkers, she looks like a really cool kitty. Nice photo to remember her by. My cat Ren hated road trips, too. I have one left (Stimpy) and he's 17!

She was a gorgeous cat. I love Gray tabbies. I am so glad you know of rainbow bridge, I have several fur balls waiting for me there now too.

I CRIED A LONG TIME BEFORE I CAME BACK TO THE COMPUTER TO WRITE THIS. I LIVE ALONE WITH MY CAT ANGEL. IF ANYTHING WOULD HAPPEN TO HER I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. I KNOW TOO THAT SHE IS WAITING FOR YOU TOO. THATS HOW WE GET THROUGH THESE DAYS. SHE IS GEORGEOUS!
