I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

A very cool ship...some of the lines seem a bit sharp and the shadows and dark lines make it appear overlayed on the background instead of blending into and becoming part of it...sorry, don't want to sound too negative...besides you might swipe me with that claw thing...:)...I could make this ship sing in one of my images...:) Nicely done overall!

This is one of those wonders of science fiction that show why I like the genre so much! There are so many SF renders on this site, but this is one of the few that really sticks out and makes me interested in the whole story that this implies. The realism is astonishing, the composition is spot on! I love the perspective, as if this craft is silently and magestically coasting past you...and I think that's what I really like about your SF work...there's an accuracy here, a logic that shows through, an awareness of how things might work, and how they might look. What I especially like is the fact that outer space is silent (a vacuum, after all) and your work carries this implication: despite what Star Trek and Star Wars and various other Space-based tv shows and movies have led us to think and expect. It's exciting to imagine the rumble of engines as a huge starship zooms into camera range, but it's a bit more realstic and eerie to a degree to see a ship, and not hear a thing. I think you manage to convey this silence due to your absence of glowing engine exhaust (another wonderfull accuracy, since you don't need to keep your thrusters burning, unless you enjoy passing your navigational targets.) So, all in all, this is fantastic work. I have to catch up, and I'll be doing so, but I simply had to say something about THIS gem of a piece!
