Description
I'm not home, but made this at 3 a.m. to put a little 'dance' into a difficult week. It's just a beginner's fractal (lol), but the largest part was done in Photoshop... I'll be back tonight & will visit your galleries once more...But I'll be here "on & off" for a while, due to family & other matters that are consuming so much of my energy. But it's always a joy to be here, so I'll be back whenever I can, and sit & journey with your wonderful art...

You just pop in with these incredible images, throw out color, life and wonder, and then poof! you're gone till you do it the next time!! I love that about you--and love these blasts of color and life. This one really rocks, as I started the journey thru each one, they got deeper and richer. And then that last one--WOW!!! Just knocked my socks (well, my flop flops!) off!!

These have a larger than life feel to them,as if escaping to a vivid world and being able to walk inside an incredible realm of color and design. We certainly travel inside through our minds and imaginations, wouldn't it be fun to do it physically. CC

Something about this reminds of me of lace, but it's only the very beginning of the mind-tickle that it provokes! Lovely colors and textures, as you do so well...

Mark I for one am just so glad you had the time to share this with us as it made my day a bit brighter. This truly is a fractal dream that has the look and feel of lace throughout and seems to be highlighted by light sound waves. Great work Mark and please take time to rest as I know you are under a lot of stress.

WOW Mark. This image+S make me think about Tivoli in Copenhagen, saturday midnight with fireworks. It begins with little beautiful lights here and there and then more and more gorgeous and in the end it shows a whole lot of fantastic light ad everybody says AAAAAHHH ! Thats what I said now :-))) Bravo Mark. This is super.

Your work would often be great seen on a large wall. I love to study your textures up close, and then zoom out my browser and stand back so I can see the image as a whole. That's when I can fully appreciate the theme running through it. And I see a definite rhythm here. This is exotic yet delicate. I appreciate the dancing, glowing lights and the movement (up, down, up, down, up) in the central fractals, and how cords or ribbons bind them together. I'm reminded of paper lanterns all connected and reaching for a brightly lit sky. I love how it begins (or ends) in an image that reminds me of a floating candle. What a beautiful effect. You can do so much with lighting, vivid colors, and textures. You definitely have a style that is all your own. I hope all goes well for you and for your family. Here's wishing you a safe journey home.

A perfect kaleidoscopic quintet of lacy doilies to stun and overwhelm our senses, Mark! The variety of colors, blends, overlays and textures are beyond magnificent in this stellar collage. Hope things are going okay for you vis-a-vis your family matters.

I see so many things in this work:-) I don't speak as eloquently as you so I hope you will forgive my rambling small talk, lol! At first glance I saw metamorphosis, a butterfly emerging with lovely lacy wings, reminding me of the changes we all go thru day to day. The colors and blending of the image give it the dream quality that you titled it, I feel like I am walking thru the dream with you, like you are walking thru the days problems. Starting with the strongest at the top you work your way thru the dream until finally you are relieved and fall into a deep restful sleep. Tho some would say the last image should be the first because of the bolder color, I see the light that shines from the center as the beckoning door to sleep, everything washed away with the tide below. I find this a truly amazing abstract, I have been doing abstracts (my first love) since a small child and am drawn to them because sometimes they have more emotional expression than a simple painting might have. The time you made this image speaks very loudly to me, I sometimes can't work on an image with much satisfaction until the wee hours of the morning (even with photography). A simply marvelous image, thank you so much for sharing it and I look forward to seeing more!

This spider was granted a wonderful gift. One day it was certain of how to spin a fabulous web that wasn't JUST going to catch it's lunch. No... this web was to convey & spread great joy and gratitude. Each web was slightly different but progressed and began to glow, great was the love each held. Of course the finale is to spread it's "wings" and reflect it's sheer beauty on the water and reach out to all ocean life. The fish (pisces) were the first to be aware, of course. Marvelous. Unique. A fave!

Ach .. Mark .. there is no such thing as a "beginner's fractal". they are all equal in stature .. and it matters not whether one's been doing them for a day or for years, there are some that happen that are spectacular, and some that are just plain .. well .. just there. You've found a neat one, chose a great color for it, and dangled it in front of delightful almost tie-dye colors and shapes, and made it dance! It's dance it's cool way till it's positively positively hot, and then it's dipped it's toes into water to cool off, and it's toes made the water hiss and sizzle!!
