Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Vivid clarity, colors and deep contrast in this shot of an unusual plant that I have seen before around my general area, but don't know the name of either, M! Intrigued by that mass of spaghetti below the blooms.

another wonderful capture of the strange & miraculous, a spindly scraggly bunch of petals & leaves in the center of a big sea of dark greens. Somehow feels like exotic Hawaii, and also a typical shot for you because you capture what it probably a common sight in a way that is uncommon & makes us see these forms which we might otherwise have ignored if the photographer hadn't offered them to us...
