Description
Spring 1972. Three San Francisco roommates, Peter, Larry and Mark, loaded up Peter’s 1968 VW Bus and headed up to Mendocino for a long weekend. We took the dogs Fido, Pegasus and Miss J. Peter slept in the bus with the dogs while Larry and I bedded down in this field. We spent our time wandering over the bluffs, drinking cheap wine and flirting with the young women. The second picture is what this section of the headlands looks like today. Terminal urbanites need not worry. There are condominiums up the road in Fort Bragg.
Oh to be young, stupid and poor again!

Great to see so little changed! I remember being with my sister and a friend, sleeping in a lean to tent in Kisatchie National Forest with wine being kept cold in the river. Trouble with lean to tents in Louisiana... If you sleep with your head in, it's to hot. Sleep with your head out and be attacked by millions (seemingly) of mosquitoes. So we didn't sleep, but drank the wine instead. We were young, slightly inebriated and very mosquito bit.
