Description

The title modified from the Styx song "Come Sail Away". Maybe I keep posting these because I kind of wish I could turn back time. Ooh another song title. Ok lets move on here. The second day we were in Florida last March was spent down on Ft Myers Beach. We got down there about 8:45 in the morning. Before we hit the beach we went swimsuit shopping. I didn't have one that fit anymore. The time prior to this that I wore a suit I was like 6 sizes bigger. Yep I looked like a teenage mutant ninja turtle. Big body, little tiny head,Yuck. After much hunting we found a shop that had one piece suits. You would not believe the number of women strutting their stuff in bikinis that really for the love of God didn't belong in them! I was not going to be one of them. I am on the heavier side yet ( working on that one) and will not let it all hang out, ewe. The woman who owned the shop let me just change there, we hit the beach at about 10:30, found Dave's cousin ( the sand sculptor from my previous posts), and made beach home camp. I had a really good view of the para sail tour groups starting and ending spot. It was incredible watching them take off and land. For a brief moment I thought about it. Then reality set in I am terrified of heights and I can't swim. So I started taking pictures of the take off and landings. This was the best take off. The wind hit the parachute just right and it filled out immediately. I know Dave would like to do this sometime and I would have no abjection to riding along on the boat, with a life jacket mind you, and taking lots of pictures of him. It could be really cool to get a camera with a underwater kit to send up with him too. Ok wheels turning. There was so much down there we didn't get to do. Got to go back and not wait 7 years this time. Thank you for looking. Thank you for all the positive vibes, prayers, and love you are sending. I so love you all. You always make me smile. Peace, Cheri

Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me! Dennis De Young was playing here last Thursday night, and I could hear the song playing clearly the three blocks away that we are from the Amphitheater. Nice shot sweetie!! I'd love to go up in that at least just once, and they do do tandems! I just said do do........which could very well happen to someone not very fond of heights. Perhaps my going solo might be better after all......and I think I'll just leave that one right there! I can understand why so many people from Wisconsin winter down here, so beautiful. Cheri is so spot on as far as the beach attire goes, but I think that the majority of women who wear something not quite appropriate could probably not care less. When in Rome? It's not like they know anyone there, and will most likely never see them again ever anyways. Still,.....shaving certain areas would be soo much better!....I think I'll leave that one right there too!

Stellar clarity, colors and dynamics in this keen kapture, Cheri! I would have loved to have seen those zaftig chicks in bikinis showing off their natural gifts.

Love your title and the bathing suit story--what a nightmare that can be!! I've seen these parasails often, never had any desire to try it; I'll just stay on land, thank you!

Great story!! Personally, I'll wear what I like at the beach as NO-ONE even sees women my age.. in this country you become invisible at about 45! Especially when there are loads of 250lb/112kg 18 year old girls in THONGS on the sand.
