Description
A full size view is a MUST.
Captured 7/26/09, late morning, in beautiful Cerritos, California.
This splendiferous fountain (I assume the water is recycled) sits on the same site as several buildings, which house electronics, insurance and investment corporations, plus the beautiful Sheraton Hotel and Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, a portion of which you see in the backgrounds of fotos #1 & 4. I have to get back there one of these days to snap some closeup shots of that magnificent structure. Some really high tech architecture in the complex.
Ta-ta, and tallyho.

Nice photos of this very pretty fountain. I like the water flowing over the stepped slabs.

The fountain is great, but what really caught my eye was the Center for the Performing Arts. I love the quilt-pattern-inspired decoration on the front of the building!

Like a tamed volcano! I do love some of these fanciful public fountains. Excellent views and shots of this one. Cerritos must have changed quite a bit in the 35 years since I was there!

Amazing architecture. I guess I am not growing up very quickly as I have this irresistible urge to "walk right in - sit right down" to enjoy the water!!

wow, what a fascinating collection. And you go from overview to closeup and then further & further away until you get an overview again (though the last one seems to be from a different angle, as the center isn't in the background anymore). It's got so much unusual form in it, and light and perspective. The two closest shots of the water make the water almost look like an ice sculpture (this is zoomed): Amazing textures. And overall, it's a capture of some very unusual and visually active sights. Also, I agree with Tara about the quilt-like art on the center. It looks Native American. Fine capture, so fascinating, and a very fine mix of views.
