My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Fantastic clarity, lighting, and skin tones of Mike, Jr. in this superb portrait. Nothing hidden or Photoshopped out here. In lieu of Little Mike, they could always call him Mikey.

LOL I'm trying ok this is that totally adorable little girl's daddy whose name is Mike, But he goes by little Mike so no one confuses him with Mike who gows by Chief who is the hunt master for the event. Do I have it so far? I think I am doing really well, LOL. As always nice shot and great lighting.

Names? Confusion? Why yes, of course. I can't remember why I walk into the bathroom some days, much less keeping track of everything else. Anyway, a wonderful portrait that brilliantly captures the vitality of youth. He looks like a man who's " going places ", as we used to say. I can see him saying something incredibly witty here and would almost like to add a speach balloon. A vivid an engaging portrait!

another fine portrait, maybe because you capture so many different hues in one face here. And most of all because you capture a big jutting shimmering face and smile and gaze, and because you captured invitation, which is a nice thing to capture in a person. And btw, I like Leonard Cohen too (this is known as a delayed-response response, since you brought it up last upload), though that lyric about taking manhattan then berlin sounds a little like WWII (lol)...I really like the different subtle hues in this shot, and in the shadows too. A full pulsing human capture. He looks like a nice person too...

I love your portrait work! You do capture quite a lot, and I particularly like the way that I can imagine some sneaking taking place as well. People don't often sit still long enough for me to photograph and so seeing portraits always gives me a particular good feeling. I agree with Mark, you capture so many of the various hues and the interplay of light and shadow here, and it's like a ballet in a sense, each element working with other elements to sculpt a face out of it all...that's how it strikes me. Great work. Wonderful, warm clarity.
