Description

With its origins dating back to William the Conqueror (1078), this tower was initially built to protect London. It houses the crown jewels and has been used as a prison, armoury, and place for executions in the past amongst other things. Its right in the middle of London and what I love about it is the constrast of this ancient building against a slew of newly built modern buildings...A must see if ever you visit! Wonderful professional pano! I have been surprised that you did it NOT with a SLR, but with a simple compact cam, but tru that this one is fitted with a 38-114 equiv. Zeiss optics and its recent (2005) 7.2 MPix CCD does an excellent job by recording a wide range of tones. An image which deserves the highest honors!
