Good looking photo!

I like this; something draws me into it, and I love the light. I almost expect to see someone thrown or jumping out the doorway as it rounds the bend!

You,in reality, cannot even imagine, nikolais, what i can DO for a train!;O) I can walk and walk just to have this "feeling". Not need to go inside, just have to see it through...distant or near, don´t matter and i right breath deep! A TRAIN,for me,means the life...the work and the freedom, and also means a "bunch" a "world" of "feelings":the good and the bad, like in life: IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL!! Thank you very much by your photograph ,and yet, for this rememberance.;O))

I'm not sure how I missed this post. Ana's comment is so interesting...for me the old steam trains evoke all sorts of feelings, which modern ones do not! This POV is fascinating, making the viewer separated from the action above.

great pov! somehow, trains are special for me too.

Excellent compo. And the light is just magic.

well, leave it to you to make a common modern train seem strange and even remote. It's in the pov, the angle from below, the way you've captured an almost foreshortened view of the cars as they seem to be caving in on each other, and the big expanse of grasses beneath which separates us from the cars and makes them seem intruders from above. And of course your intuitively correct & fine sense of hue, where even in grays you get just the right hue for the piece, as it helps set-off the silvery tone of the train cars. I'll bring one of my train lover friends to see this: I'm sure he'll appreciate the oblique way you made a common train-passing into an intrusion & quiet revelation...
