OMG,nikolais!!!THANK YOU:))You have just offer me,the great second and wonderful emotion for the day!!THANK YOU!In reality, i cannot add much to what i told you before... about what i feel when confronted with the mistery that is for me a TRAIN!!!And in this photograph, yet, you added the rain...another element that complete "my own scene" inside my mind!... I can remember times, somewhere, under the rain where i spent hours and hours watching them..going and coming...and not more..only breathing deep!!!I´m very touched for this, nikolais.I´have no words...your photo is wonderful and the atmosphere all around is challenging to imagination!thank you again;O)))

I had to go back and read yesterdays comments! This scene is quite different to our railway here, I suppose it's the wires overhead. Those children are great..the same the world over! They finish off a most satisfying composition.

This is a very beautiful shot. I have always loved trains. Only in 2 years of my life I did not. That was a time when I lived just beside an iron bridge, where the train passed 42 times in an hour at eight oclock in the evening and 38 times around midnight. :-) Yes, I counted them.

Nice mood, Nikolais.

I've ridden trains all over the world. It always feels like I'm off on an adventure. Something about them, the swaying, the clickity-clack. This is a great image. It really conveys the mood of expectation.

This is a wonderful image Nikolay! Were my grandfather alive, he would love it:-) We spent a lot of time visiting trains when I was a child and we traveled across the mountains in a train to visit my gramps and grandmother. Every boy in our family had a complete toy train setup in the basement of their homes and all of us kids spent hours watching those in utter fascination. Thanks for reminding me of those times!

I'm so sorry I missed this, I was offline for 2 weeks taking care of personal matters...Anaber is one of our finest artists, and a dear, dear friend; and it's wonderful to see this image for her. I read her previous comment & loved it; and I love her comment here, too. And with hue, your usual deft sense of grays & (here) slightly gold-tinged sepias (very slight, which make them dreamy & recessed), with the patina that rain brings, and with the always strange pile-up of forms that trains give as they come forward from the distance (that foreshortening that makes it look as if the cars are jamming into each other)...and the strange glow of the headlight & of course (yes) the glow on the roofs...etc etc...all these make this a quiet melancholy moment as a train comes by and intrudes on the random play of children on a simple platform, unadorned. With your angle, tones, light, etc, you've made it a momentary dream. And for an artist (Ana) who walks long to see trains and feels the 'call' of them, it's beautiful. A beautiful image and beautiful dedi for a wonderful soulful person & artist.

Yet another astonishingly good, and wonderfully sensitive shot! Since I've been back in the USA, I've come to miss such trains, such raw and aged locomotive industry. I love the atmosphere of this shot, the touch of humanity amid the metal. I agree that the whole unadorned nature of the station lends a sort of melancholy note to the image, a bit like the Japanese concept of "aware" (funny how it's spelled using the Roman alphabet.) Superb work.
