Description

Hi everyone! So sorry I've been away for a few days. Work and family matters have gobbled up my spare time again. Though that will subside in the coming weeks I am hoping. Hope everyone is doing well and my thanks for visiting my gallery once again. When I first started this rendering I only wanted to try out the Nun habit which I've had lurking in my Runtime seemingly for years. But a single nun standing alone in her church seemed a bit sad so, as is always the case for me, I kept adding stuff (people really) until my computer could not take it anymore. The Nun is Vany by outoftouch. Though I think of her more as Vany's older sister. OK, that's a little weird but I did apply the 'V3 Older' morph to her face. The two young ladies are my current incarnations of Betty/Veronica, based upon mytilus' Rene head morph but using Giana's Sunsirae skin texturing. The gentleman in the centre is, well, not exactly Archie I suppose - OK. I admit, he needs work. On the tips and tricks front: I did learn with this rendering a neat way speed up slow Poser 7 renders on Windows XP. If you typically run your renders as the local system Administrator, then you can open the system's Task Manager and select the FFRender.exe process. Right click on the process name and select 'Set Priority' from the pop-up menu. There are several priority levels, change its priority to Real Time - which is the fastest - though any of the higher levels should speed things up. In Real Time, the computer will dedicate all its resources into rendering and can speed up the rendering process. Though it will virtually lock up your computer for anything else in the mean time. Best use this trick for when you are busy with other non-computer things like sleeping. As always, my sincere thanks to those artists who have provided free props and characters for this rendering: ape50 for the Church Bohemia 18 - 19 Century. mytilus for NewsBabe Rene morphs for V3. outoftouch for Vany for V3. Ithildien for the Nun's Outfit for V3. CakeOne for the Cameo. ISOP for the gloves from Casablanca Suit for M3. 3dtrue for the Church Pew. geralday for the Bible props. DAZ for Victoria 3, Michael 3 and Nun's Hajib. Other Credits. 3 Piece Suit for M3 by the3dwizard. Sunsirae for V3 skin texturing by Giana. Victoria 3.0 Piercing Pack, Madelyne Hair for V3 both by DAZ 3D. Gloria Short Hairstyle by DAZ3D.

Beautiful work on this one Clayton and love how this image developed from your idea to display the Nun. Also I think you did a superb job on Betty, Veronica and Archie. It was great to read about your thinking on the scene and thanks for the rendering tips

Great scene you've put together, though I can't say I'd ever see myself as pious as the characters depicted here.

I can relate to having unused products in the runtime. Cool render and a nicely put together scene. Great use of freebies, and I like how you've paid attention to all the little details. Nice work on this, I'll have to try that render tip too!

Something we don't see everyday. Reminds me of when I went to Catholic school. We did have to sit like that and of course there was always a nun near by. Excellent artwork!~
