Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

Jodie, I really like this photo. I have not been to either of the Dakotas and your images are a small vacation. That farm is lovely and the house is quite different than expected..very nice.

Beautiful shot - and the cutting of the meadow hay. I would have guessed Estes Park, CO. Everywhere looks alike, I guess (ha).

I can honestly say that my grandfather never said "make hay". Whether in old Chicago or in Minsk, "hay" wasn't a big concept in my grandparents' world. (Gramps'd say, "you mean for deh horseys? Deh horseys?" Yep, we were rugged types...) Another beauty. You better post an awful shot 'cause I'm gettin' tired of the beauty from this trip! Beautiful slope, beautiful light & clarity in the trees...but not too much clarity, because you never remove atmosphere. (A lot of photographers eradicate atmosphere: You embrace its music.) And the light on those beautiful orange buildings is wonderful...and a nice big saturated-blue sky. Nature's PS. A beautiful shot. (My grandfather'd also say: "So what's so good about hay? All day long they eat hay? A good omelette they wouldn't eat? A blintz?" As you can see, I come from a long line of comedians...)
