Description

We made such a quick decision to go out to the Hollow that I didn't even have time to post a "gone camping" image. Weather was utter perfection, and the mosquitoes were gigantic, viscious, and bloodthirsty. Not so good for us, but the bug eating critters were feasting! I love these roadside wildflowers. I'm not even going to say they are my faves because so are dandelions, Queen Anne's Lace, and on and on and on. I bet I could do a whole garden with "weeds"! I so appreciate all the comments from you, reading them makes my day! Thanks too for the faves. Well, I thought I was getting caught up .. and now I'm way behind again .. so more patience please, as I start catching up again. I didn't even get to some of your galleries yet .. so I'll try to start with those first. Hope all had a great weekend.

A very sensitive shot...the flower's almost made of light, and it's a simple bloom with stamens as clear & sleek as they get. A simple beautiful capture of a flower. And really, I've had chicory root for years but never knew the flower looked like this. (I assume it's from the same plant.) Very simple & eloquent. It's always wonderful when you bring back images from your trips...
