Description

I had made an oath that I would never, ever own a cell phone. This was a long time ago. but, because I ride my bike everywhere and I'm never too sure about the drivers around me, I decided that, should I get into trouble, it would probably be nice to let someone know what was up. Seeing as payphones are far and few between and expensive, I 'broke' my oath and purchased a prepaid Cellphone. and here is my electronic leash! Damn!

Well, it will give you a sence of security anyway. Our darn pay-phones only use calling cards and in an emergency who is going to go buy one of those darn things. Technology does have it's good side if used responsibly.

Now you are part of the great global conspiracy. Little do you know that cell towers now track your every move and now at a push of a button "they" can take control of you causing you to makes calls and spending your minutes and if you are fooling enough to get one with a camera, as Mikeerson the evil one, suggests "they will have you taking thousands of low quality pictures. They will also get you to post low quality videos to u-tube. I am sorry you broke your promise to yourself, just like I am sorry when I broke my vow of celibacy. I morn for you Mike. you are no longer an innocent.

Yes now we feel naked without them... welcome to the digital age.. lol I got one after I had a flat at night, and had to walk a long ways to get to a payphone. Plus payphones are getting hard to find. They do come in handy. Put it on vibrate or silent and use it when you want or need to!!

As regards riding your bicycle; years ago there was a man called the Sage of Santa Barbara (California). At age 95 he was asked the secret to his long life. He replied, "Whenever I feel like excercising, I lie down until the feeling goes away." As for cell phones, I don't have one. People will say, "I'll give you a call on your cell." When I tell them I don't have one I get that look that says, "Did you just fly in from the 19th century?" Great picture of the hated enemy.

well i had the thought today about how far we have come, now imagine all the people that have had a cellall along and "NOW" they don't..... the age of information... funny how i am always noticing 3 people standing in a room and all are talking to someone else on the phone, but never to each other, only in real life, and that is virtuelly strange!

Altought I don´t like cellphones they are useful. You will be safer with it. By the way, wish I had a camera when I recently saw a lady riding a bycicle downhill...and talking and laughing on her cellphone. Quite a sight ! :)

Congradulations on joining the 21st Century. I have have one because if something goes wrong when I'm in the truck I have to be able to comunicate with the office. Plus when I get to a holel for the night It's easier and actually cheaper to call home and let my wife know I made it or if I'm going to be late getting back. If your car breaks down or something. So there are many good reasons to have one in this day and age. But they only control you if you let them. Don't get in the habit of giving everybody you cell number unless they need it. don't use it as your primary phone and don't get into TEXT MESSAGING it's a waste of money. Oh and don't keep plugged in all the time let the battery drain completely as much as you can it will lengthen the battery life. oh and Have fun
