Description

I had made an oath that I would never, ever own a cell phone. This was a long time ago. but, because I ride my bike everywhere and I'm never too sure about the drivers around me, I decided that, should I get into trouble, it would probably be nice to let someone know what was up. Seeing as payphones are far and few between and expensive, I 'broke' my oath and purchased a prepaid Cellphone. and here is my electronic leash! Damn!

I still see pay phones on occasion, wonder if they are still what a quarter to use? And the thing I have always hated about cell phones is those times' when you need help you usually don't have a signal. I doubt if I am out hiking and hmmm a bear starts to chase me that I will be able to phone home LOL the bear will be laughing his ass off.. welcome to the 21 century whats your number so I can text ya LOL just kidding

LOL, I had to upgrade from a Tracfone to a Verizon pay phone because out at the Hollow, the Tracfone had absolutely no connectivity! And heaven forbid something should happen out there, I'd have to drive a half mile to make a connection to anything! Now at least I call for help, or reach the outside world if I need to. How to keep the outside world from reaching me? I don't turn it on, LOL, and if I do need to have it on, I've only given my number to two people (besides the dog's Vet) and made them swear on their own souls not to give it out to anyone.
