Description

Denise, there will be more words & thoughts in a later upload, but for now a birthday gift for one of my favorite photographers. It's from an old photograph by yours truly, which I transformed into an Autumn--well, light fest (lol). (Maybe Autumn-on-Steroids is better!) The bottom is closest to the photo... You don't know the pleasure your work has given me Denise. And while my postwork hasn't your subtleties, it captures some of the inspiration I receive from your gallery everyday. You have one of the most delicate & inwardly beautiful galleries on Rosity. I wish you a splendid day!
* * * * * * I'll comment in a few hours. I can't be here much this month, but I won't disappear. And for those of who have images coming, I haven't forgotten! All my best to everyone, Mark (Art: Photoshop. Photo: Northern Maine, 1975.) (Developed in an actual darkroom!)

Mark all I can say is this is one thoughtful birthday gift to your friend. I know she will be thrilled as anyone would at such a lovely collage. Your work stands alone when it comes to expressing so much of yourself in it. With each image above a little bit more of your creativity slips through just like the light through the trees in the forest

Simply stellar in its application, Mark! Reminds me of the comet or meteorite hit on Siberia's Tunguska forest back in the early part of the twentieth century. Created tremendous havoc. It must be nice to have been previously notified of Denise's birthday. I hope you get my drift.

Happy birthday, Denise!!:))))) Hello:) Mark you did a wondeful gift! And the use of the forest is perfect! She melt wonerfully with your lights and your colours and you did a feast for Denise!I love all the panels..but i prefer the 3rd..it seems to me that the forest is traversing a boundary of light to the sea.Quite wonderful!!

The wonderful thing is that all of these swirling lights and colours were always inherent in your original capture. You've succeeded in stopping the world and allowing us, the viewers, to perceive the multidimensionality of the place and the moment, to get a glimpse of the limitless possibilities in every unit of space-time... What a fabulous birthday gift for your friend Denise!

What a wonderful piece for Denise! I love the progression, and that final panel is glorious. You have such a way with synthesis, movement, light. You've left me with the feeling that there are mountains, even though I know perfectly well they aren't there! Beautiful work, my friend. (And it's nice to see your work again!) Happy Birthday, Denise!

Mark, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! Your words are touching and sweet, and I'm so happy that you can see what I see when I look at my subjects. This work is just stunning, like an aurora borealis (something I'm just dying to photograph!) in a watercolor forest of light...I can't even begin to describe the beauty! Thank you thank you thank you!

Of course everyone has an opinion on this, just like any art. Personally, I love to see what other people can do with an original photo. This is very close to how I would see the aurora borealis through the trees while walking through this dense forest. I would not be walking alone so of course we'd all have flashlights. This is the reason for the white lights - cuz I am not going to talk about aliens... although they did come to mind. lol This is terrific, Mark. I'm sure Denise was honored to have you choose this photo to work on.
