Description

A year ago, two of my dearest friends passed away too soon (Chandra and Dianne). This image is of their hearts intertwined & all the complexity & life that dear friends radiate. They were sisters to me: I dedicate this to our dear friends everywhere...

Above all, thank you for your passion & presence in my gallery. It means the world to me! Much peace to all, Mark (Photoshop)

I love the satin textures in this and the deep jewel tones. The heart shapes remind me of those old fashioned pillows that loved ones often exchange. And I see tear stains as sometimes happens in the course of our connections--when we reveal our deepest secrets, or cry tears of joy, or eventually lose the ones we love. This image reminds me of the complexity and intertwining of two souls that meet, then connect and share. It's another glorious tribute to your friends, and to the risk we all take when we start to care about others and let them into our hearts. I'm glad you are able to put your feelings into your art. Creativity is a great healer. Take care.

This is the most wonderful tribute,Mark: hearts filled with heart:your heart and soul full of love;and at the same time you dedicated this beautiful image to your friends, you also offer her to all friends in our great comunity, giving her an universal sense. Exquisite art, mark! That shape, that traverse the hearts seems a river of light, yet, looks the archetype of music too,the music of life! And all your image is immersed into a blue fluid. It´s dramatic,it´s emotional and very beautiful.Thank you so much for this!

This is a beautiful and sensitive piece, my friend. I love the clean, clear colors, particularly in the center. The love you shared and the love you still have is a shining thing, starting everywhere and ending nowhere, and I can feel it coming at me like a wave. It makes me hear horns and see their jewel tones, hear strings and see their vibration, and those sounds fill this edge to edge and beyond. I get the sense that the music and the vision wrap around, and that as the artist, or as the viewer, one becomes a part of the whole. I often envision your work printed on silk and hung from the ceiling, but this one requires something different. This needs to be printed or projected on the inside of a sphere, with the viewer lying on (and in) the screen. (Somewhere there are installation engineers weeping with joy that I'm not in charge of setting this up for public viewing!) You have made a wonderful tribute to your friends. Thank you for sharing it with us.

At my advanced age I'm going to take the easy way out and echo the comments above, Mark. They just about cover it all in re the subject matter. I'm really not too big on deep poignancy and touching tributes to the departed, or even with those that are still with us. In any event, fantastic colors, contrasts and outstanding abstract textures permeate this fine concept!

There's something vaguely musical about this to me; it's a gorgeous moving tribute, and a really lovely piece of art!

Mark I know some of what you've been through and it amazes me you can keep your strength and your gentle spirit in tact through it all. It says so much about the kind of man you are just as this lovely dedi to your dear friends who are now gone. Or maybe I should say Sisters as it is clear the amount of love you put in this beautiful dedi could only have been done if you felt a special bond with them as one does with family. I am sorry for your loss Mark

Mark I can see so much in this image. It is so full of graceful movement and movement. Not necessarily in a sad way. Sweet memories of your "sisters" kind spirits, the comforting thought, that you were blessed to have them as your dear friends. There is still alot of them inside you. This images has it all. It is floating with love. I wish I could put better words on what I see in this wonderful image. But a favorite it is.

There is music in this image; sweet sounds of angels who live in your heart and soul. People leave us one way, but stay in so many others. Thank you for sharing this; let us walk with you, and take some of that sadness away. No one need be alone. Beautiful, heartfelt image, Mark.

This positively glows. I see this glow and this inner light in all your works. I can see each one done as stained or painted glass to allow the light to shine through and illuminate a room with the colors and swirls and swoops and the sheer joy of life you project. This may be in memory of your dear friends, but it is (in my eyes anyway) a celebration of their life, a softly, glowingly, gracefully, lovingly exuberant display of their spirits as they continue to live in your heart. And did I say it's beautiful?

Beautiful rememberance of Chandra and Dianne, Mark. As I view your art work here I see one or more string instruments playing in perfect harmony. From what I know of your "sisters" and you, I suspect harmony and love is at the heart of this piece:)
