Description

'The Old Maze' This simple-looking image was actually quite a challenge. The maze was created using a displacement map and the renderer kept falling over trying to deal with the large poly count. In the end I rendered the foreground separately and using an alpha channel I composited the whole thing in Photoshop. Thanks for looking. Tony

Stephen King is exactly what I thought of when I saw this scene too. You just know somehow that whats waiting inside those gates does not have good intentions toward this foolish nocturnal visitor. My favourite by far of your recent works.

Excellent image full of adventure at just the right time of night.. That must of been some displacment map! Never tried anything to create that deep of an affect.
