Oooh, I remember when you took this...and I remember seeing it on your screen just wee moments before you posted it here! Ah, that was fun! I love this shot too...it's so...I don't know...elegant doesn't really cover it, because it has a kind of excitement that the word "elegant" just doesn't cover. I love the lines and the different directions that work so well in concert here. This is a top notch composition and as much fun to look at as the whole weekend was.

I remember when you cropped this and called me over: I didn't recognize it! (Do you remember? I just stared & didn't know what to say. It was a totally new sight to me.) And I remember being at the building too & commenting on the criss-cross of those lonnnnnng beams (and Marilyn knowing why they were able to stay up—having to do with the tension dissipating across the arch: you two knew way too many facts, ya know that? wayyyy too many! you gotta work on that...and a banana's an herb and a fruit! ya can't just go around saying "a banana's an herb," ya can't just do that; wars have been started for less...) Where was I? Right (the whole banana things very upsetting to me...): You got this as a big bending building, bending back with the sweep of the beams; and rising out of the shell of the auditorium below—it's like an installation, tara, almost like a huge toy! The angles make it strange & new & otherworldly, like an installation in a museum. It's a great shot, and lol andrea that you almost got a whole building. Yeah, but you got it all to look like a big art-piece. Terrific image. And, as you pointed out, it's centered but it's not. A great bend to the shot. I love this piece.

Wonderfully composed shot of Chicago tall-boys. Millenium Park is loved by tourists and the artistic crowd, but da neighborhood guyss think the Aon Center looks just plain weird.
