Description

This little 'trippy' piece is a last-minute impression of what it's like sitting at dinner, or under the trees, or in a small hotel room with these joyous, loving & incredibly talented people. ...and seeing them pull out their cameras & show me the shot they picked--from 12 of 'that building'--& watching them put it in their computers, do whatever they do, then swivel around & casually mutter "it's finished!" And I'd peek at their screens think "what happened? Where did this jewel come from?" It's like the sun popping though the clouds when no one noticed... As I sat with them over pita & humus & falafel & some dishes I couldn't even pronounce, and watched them tell stories & smile & hug & listen as if they'd known each other all their lives, I thought: This is what talent & love look like. This is the real thing... All of you: Thank you. It's been more of a gift than you know.
* * * * * * I'll return to comments tomorrow. As always thanks for all your support, I wish you a splendid weekend! Mark (Photoshop, with an image from my last upload.)

Mark this is such a beautiful image my friend and one of the most expressive one's I have ever seen. I think just as wonderful was reading your description of the time you shared with your creative friends and the blessings exchanged from being with each other.

Reminds me of a 4th of July celebration...fire, expanding streams of color, results never seen before but based upon years of experience from talented, masterful artists. Glorious:)

One of my favorites places and I didn't even get an invite .. :( This reminds me of some of the great fountains in the city. I hope you are all enjoying your time there, and beautiful work Mark.

...io ho proprio "un debole" per gli occhi grigi e bellissime gambe sia maschili che femminili. In questo lavoro mi sembra che ci siano tutti i presupposti per delle gambe meravigliose (di una lei). AWESOME.:)

(((Mark))) Oh, joy! Joy! JOY! It is so good to make my way back here, and to you and your glowing spirit. There is much to tell, and mail wayyyy overdue. But, it's been...life...my friend...and I didn't want to miss a single second of it. I think you'll understand. MUCH love and peace your way, dear you. And thank you for sharing the talent and love that's been shared. I'm so glad you had this opportunity, this experience, to touch, cherish, savor. And here's some strength. Take it...while I have a bit to spare. And a lovely, lovely image, of course! :)

Well met and well done my friend! For me, you were the surprise of the weekend. I knew that you would be there, and were a friend of Cheri and the others which was sufficient. You are right, they are so incredibly talented and wonderful, but you are no less a marvel. I was amazed by the depth of your knowledge and understanding of things, your pure heart, and your school boy inquisitiveness of what was going on around us,...always learning, yearning for more....a constant state of growing. My grandfather had an immense garden when I was a boy, he raised beautiful flowers, typically not seen in our part of the world, and fed half the neighbor hood with the vegetables he grew. He told me to "never be a tomato". It wasn't until after he had passed, that I understood the meaning. A tomato, once it has stopped growing, withers and rots on the vine. His message was to never stop growing, never stop striving to learn and become more, and you sir are certainly no tomato! I love this work!! It brings to mind a great celebration, which this weekend most certainly was, great people, great times, great conversation. We pretty much only drink champagne on New Years eve, also in celebration...you post is so apt in so many ways! I am so very glad for having had the opportunity to have met you. Some of your first words to me took me a little aback, it is you people I hold such high esteem for, to be even thought of in the same context, to me is almost inconceivable. Your light shines so bright that my candle is dim in comparison. Did you have the opportunity to check out the banana issue yet?

WOW! Mark! Joy just flows like effervescent champagne! What a wild and wonderful weekend you must have had! And you had pita with humus and falafel? Oh yummy, my mouth is just watering! I can just imagine what the dishes that you couldn't pronounce were .. I love Greek food! So good food, good art, good companionship .. sigh .. now THAT'S Bliss! Your painting conveys all that .. but not the Greek food, grins.

Man it's like you guys all gathered together one night and all at once tossed a bucketful of neon confetti and florescent streamers into the air. Since there were several photographers there EVERYBODY had their camera on a timer to catch that magical moment. Right then - CLICK - the simultaneous flashes added to the mix. A bit of layering and you've got a combination of the captured love and all that talent in one image. Just Awesome.

Have I really been out of circulation for so long? I remember the buildup to the weekend by all of you, and feeling insanely jealous of your get together, and this image expresses so joyfully what I expected the weekend to be. Spectacular and sensitive, gastronomic and garrulous, joyful and gorgeous! I wish I was there, but this is a great substitute.

That trip was a wonder even for those not there. I learned about it though Cheri's postings. I was very interested for her sake and because of a trip my sister and I took there 4 years ago. I have tremendously enjoyed the postings for both the wonderful comradery and the sites of the city. The complexities of this image that merge so well into beautiful art, seem to represent terrifically the individuals that came together and became a unit rich in talent and diversity. And the celebratory color and light, is perfect for the joy you all found together. Beautiful image of love and connections.
