Description

A rendered still from an animation. I was commissioned by 3D World to create a tutorial using Cinema 4D, demostrating the animation of a multi-legged creature, and was offered a choice of assets from Turbosquid etc. However, fancying the challenge, I decided to model my own in ZBrush, and rigged and animated the spider in C4D. The resulting animation can be seen here : http://vimeo.com/6654102 The full tutorial and accompanying walkthrough videos (almost 4 hours) is available with the new 3D World issue (122), along with some bonus videos showing an overview of the rigging process. Cheers Adam :)

Saw your name on an erudite comment left for one of chrysler's images. It's too late to look much tonight, but I'll return soon. This dark place is so absolutely convincing in it's realism, that I'm just a tad bit nervous about that spider's gaze!
