Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

What a shame these vehicles are rotting away like this, they are so cool looking, as a brit I have no direct clue, but I do know a 57 Chevy, it's my dream car, when I was a child I had a Matchbox toy car of the 57 and I always vowed I'd have one when I grow up, either I can't aford one, or I have not grown up yet LOL...Love the long seasonal shadows in this well seen and taken Jodes.

So sad - in part because those of us who are old enough to remember these can imagine ourselves off rusting away somewhere before too long :o) --Duncan ===================== See my book cover illustrations at: http://DuncanLong.com/art.html

Love these old classic rides. It is a shame. But ya know most of those scratches will buff right out :-P

Wah, I didn't know there was such a thing as a Corvair station wagon. Other than that, I have no idea what model or year Chevys these could be. Some body work, fresh coats of primer and paint, replace the tires and they'd look like they just rolled off the assembly line in Detroit, Jodie! Cool capture, in any event.

Wow! I think this was a Lakewood. I had a 65 and 67. And yeah Nader's Raiders took care of that. They leaked oil like a sieve and had the shimmies around 45 mph. A cool reminder of daze gone by. ;-)

They look like 1961's to me also.A friend used to own a '64 Monza. They had one problem. He would find oil in the engine compartment. A Corvair guy knew the problem the crankshaft pulley was two piece with rubber between the hub and the pulley. The pulley slipped backwards off the rubber and cut into the oil filter. Go figure. A solid pulley fixed the problem. Unfortunately, the engine fried a year later when the fan bearing failed and the belt jumped the pulley and the fan fragmented. These are rare and may be worth something for parts if nothing else. They also made a "Corvan" in various models.
