As a former postal worker and letter carrier, I've seen lots of mailboxes just like this. Some are still used, some just gather spider webs and dust, like this one. Great shot!!

I love old, rustic stuff and this mailbox is right up there on my list. I always like the fact that stuff like this gives you a glimpse into another world, one that doesn't exist any more...and in some ways, maybe it shouldn't...but there are still these remnants that seem to imply emotion and lives lived (and vanished). This is fantastic work...amazingly evocative.
