Description

Took the photo in April of 09. Some chuckle at our Maine "frost heave" signs. They make sense to me: The frost heaves the road surfaces up for a short time, then nature fixes them. A bump usually stays there till someone fixes it. And who knows how long that'll be! ; ) These signs bring hightened hope of winters end here.

Oh, they must be like our frost heaves here in New Hampshire! A few years ago my husband and I were going down a back road in NH and after about ten miles of an average of 5-10 MPH because of the frost heaves and the road being almost too bad to drive over, under a frost heaves sign, someone added a handwritten sign that said 'you don't say?' That was enough to give us enough humor to make the end of the road to the smooth highway, LOL. But you've gotta love New England!!!!!
