I was in three minds about which genre to choose for this image - cityscape, mood or humor... LOL...
This is for Mark, Tara, Chip, Corey, Marilyn, Dave, Cheri and for Bill who wanted to be there and for Rob who has been there recently... My Chicago experience.
I told Tara this morning - I have landed at & took off from O'Hare three times and have spent 5 days in Chicago and this is the best cityscape view I got!!! Seriously!!! I shot this image from the John G Shedd Aquarium...
At least I got a few shots around my hotel taken while running to and from meetings and a couple of them were in brief sunshine... I might upload some later!
I still believe Chicago is a marvelous city and I absolutely HAVE to go back!!

Oh wow--this is SO cool. We walked right by the Shedd Aquarium and didn't go in. The fog gives this such an ethereal quality--it's a beautiful shot---guess we'll all just have to meet there again---SOON!!

Stellar mood shot, Carin! Love it! Reminds me of the movie, The Mist. The sharp foreground emphasizes the feeling of great depth. Everyone loves Chicago, my brother lived there eons ago, but the name always reminds me of Al Capone, prohibition and gang warfare.

I have vague memories of Chicago. A busy place and very big. I saw it as a child as we drove through and I saw it a few years ago as we drove past downtown on our way from California to Cleveland, OH. It always seemed so intimidating to this small-town gal. This shot puts all that mood and wonder into one shot.

I see Tara wrote something in a language I have NO IDEA how to speak or read, but I probably agree with it immensely. It looks like Dutch! Anyway, this is an amazing shot! I love the moodiness of it and the way this city actually looks quite interesting and otherworldly. This is great. I love it.
