Description

I returned from Italy yesterday having had a wonderful time. You will be pleased to know you won't be subjected to all my holiday shots lol, I took around 600 or so! I will post a few over the coming weeks if I may. This shot was one of 3 taken when I left the hotel to head off on an early morning excursion to Rome. My day trip lasted 15 hours, I had also been up for 1.5 hrs before leaving the hotel then couldn't sleep on my return, so lasted many hours more!! The night before was one of the most intense thunder storms I have experienced in many years. It appeared to be directly above my hotel and whilst I am not afraid fo thunder or lightning, I was a tad scared due to the immense noise! I have 109 ebots and have tried to catch up on many last night but I won't catch up on all. Apologies. Susan Thank you for your support on my previous post " For Andrea(Durleybeachbum) "

Love the early morning...it does special things for photography. There is something special about the light, the shadows, the atmosphere. Your photo here has captured all those early morning advantages. [Since you asked...I am doing great...far better than I thought I'd be doing only six weeks after my op] :-)

Glad you had a super holiday, would take you 2 years to up load that amount of pics if you did one a day :o) This one is lovely, love the sky, Sorrento looks beautifully clean, looking forward to the next pic!!!!!!

Susan this is the most beautiful scene, I loved Italy also when I was there, and as it happens did experience a few horrific thunderstorms and torrential rain too. I am sorry too that I have not commented for a while, due to my pressing family matters, but I have just viewed your gallery and my word your photography just gets better and better, and I am looking forward to seeing more of your holiday photos too, when I return in a couple of weeks.
