Description
Oh dear, dear, dear, dear....here we go.
Captured 8/15/09, around 12 noon, at the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in beautiful San Marino, California.
Much better viewed full size.
Just a mere handful of shots from the tons/tonnes I took during three separate visits to the vast Desert Garden section of the Botanical Gardens. To avoid repetition, which leads to boredom, I'm showing them in rough sequence.
And, since I took so many fotos at the Huntington, I have to expedite the entire series to the extreme, so collages are now the name of the game.
Okay, the first three lovely pics show various entrances and paths in and around the cacti and succulent section. There's even a bench for those that have a penchant for such items (Denise). A plethora of pretty succulents surround the fountain in shot #1; #4 shows golden barrel cacti, and I don't remember the name of the species depicted in #5. But I'm confident Andrea will surely know. All in all, a very sticky and somewhat nettlesome subject.
Thankx for looking in, and tallyho.

Woo hoo. Never in my life saw this many cacti all together on display. Gotta love the 4th picture. So lovely round form, almost cute. If a cacti can be cute consider the danger of the 'surface'.

Beautiful shots! These are all so interesting. Hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'll go for the 4th and 5th(which I think is an Aloe Vera) Actually, looking at the flowers, probably not the Aloe Vera, but the Aloe something:) We need Andrea!

How lovely these gardens are! The bench is nice, but I also really love the barrel cacti shot; something very nearly surreal about them!
