Exciting and excellent work. WOW.

Striking image!!!

Nice, impressive!
WeeLaddie
Excellent tower with great lighting and strata lines. Also a great pov. Are the windswept streaks stretched TG clouds or postwork? How confident do you feel about trying to recreate such a tower with TG2, using an inversed crater?
phfrancke
Not confident at all my friend. I was looking at the instructions you posted about the urchins and actually made some headway in understanding some things I'd never been able to do before. Got a good render underway, very different from your excellent work. I messed up this tower though in the PS - It is WAY over-saturated and too bright... though thank you everyone for the nice comments. Best Regards, Piet

Cool scene ... like the lighting and POV!
carlx
Fantastic composition!!!
Coppens
Re: your reply to John Robertson (Weeladdie), I personally am not really bothered by the "oversaturation"; it could be very well strong sunlight! Very strong image! Keep going in this direction!

Excellent terrain and POV!
starfire777
Excellent landscape and POV!!!
phfrancke
Oh, in response to John's question about the windswept clouds - yes, just stretched clouds on the x axis. And Coppens - thank you for the over-saturation point. Sometimes it grabs the eye, but if over-used, they eye quickly grows weary, methinks anyway...

I personnaly think the light, the colours, and the tower are really great here ! I am not a big fan of the lower ground as it could be more detailed but the overall render is very good looking. Good job. ^^
inkydigit
Hey Piet...great terrain and render...love the drama here, agree with seth about the ground....some colour/texture variations would be good, all in all a very very nice job! any chance of downloading the terrain anywhere?
phfrancke
Markal!! Don't you dare quit on it!! Inky, blush, I've uploaded the "ter" file called fortress to Ashundar. But I can't "see" it yet, it might still need to be approved or take some time, but the upload went ok. It was 8 meg...
phfrancke
Oh, Seth, Inky, "I did the ground just like I wanted!!" (how about that for a line to use when you didn't know what else to do - I agree with you guys completely.)
Rich2
All in all a great overhead shot. I never could replicate in TG2 the same effect I could get in Classic. Like to see this in a larger size.
