Description
I spent the day at the Minnesota Zoo yesterday with my Mom; she asked if I wanted to go again; this time with my new camera. :) Of course, I couldn't say NO.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing this monkey play with a pacifier that somehow was dropped in their pen. It was so fun to watch; obviously not knowing what to do with the thing. He ended up chewing off the nipple part, then had no clue what to do with the rest of it .. so he just carried it around with him, wherever he went - and he didn't want anyone to touch it but him. SO CUTE! Monkeys are by far one of my favorite animals at the zoo; I could sit and watch them all day I think. (... little hairy people lol)

Shari he is the cutest little guy ever and I love your pic of him. Monkey's are my favorite animal at the zoo also and it sounds like they need to develop a tougher pacifier for them ;)

This is great! I happen to like primates a lot as well and can spend days watching them...well...and bugs too! I think there's something atavistic in all of us that makes primates so intriguing. They're like humans in so many ways...well, humans if we were a bit more civilized! :-) Great clarity here and wonderful colors! I love the expression on the little guy's face too! Priceless.

I wish I'd had my camera at the beach one day when a seagull was playing with a lost pacifier. My aunt and I had gone down there for a walk along the shore, and we were in stitches over it! Your monkey reminded me of that day ... what a cutie he is!

How cute!!! I was once at the baboon mountain (surrounded by a moat) and saw a fellow drape his coat across the rock barrier while he leaned over to get a better look, his check book happened to be in the coat pocket and slipped out and down into the moat where it was immeciately seized by on of the primates. This fellow went to find a keeper, brought him over to the enclosure explaining what had happened and requested that he get his checkbook returned. The keeper just looked at him for a second and then said "it's his now, I suggest you just get a new checkbook" and walked away. Personally I think he made the right choice, I've seen those baboon's teeth and I wouldn't want to tell them to give it back.
