This is super! I really need to be more aware of when people's birthdays are. But then, I usually miss my own birthday! My last birthday came and went until Corey reminded me! That figures! Anyway...I love the light in this and the blueness of the water. I saw the lake today and it was as gray as the day...Chicago has gone into grotty Autumnal mode and everything is damp and the color of a rat's underside. So this is a wonderful burst of color and warmth. As always, this is also just a superb piece of photography.

Damn!!! That's what we needed, a sail or three or four somewhere on the stinking boat! Granted I started the day with a messed up back, but did it anyway,....I'm still paying for that, three days later, and I have to stand up, ever so slowly. It's nice to see something posted for me today that doesn't have me in it. I'm not really sure just when and where all of the gray started, but can assure you that it certainly wasn't invited, nor were they okay-ed to invite their friends. If I know Cheri, she's already thinking that the next time we hit Chicago, she's getting that lighthouse! This looks all so much like a better way to travel than what we did on Saturday, I can assure everyone that what Cheri had posted was work, I've had fun before, but that wasn't it! This is a great birthday tribute, it brings me back a couple of weekends ago, when I did have fun, the only pain I felt that day was when it became time to leave,...I didn't want to, I wanted it to just go on forever. We really need to do something like that again! That is my birthday wish! Thank you so much M'lady, for thinking of me, I've had more of this today than all of my years prior, a bit overwhelming, but greatly appreciated. I sooo miss you all.

I don't see anything so lovely off our coast but I remember seeing this sort of scene on Lake Erie when I was there not too long ago. This is a great, wide shot. Great job, Tara.
