When I first saw you You were all alone in a field Dancing with your arms in the air While the leaves swirled all around you I knew right then You were the love of my life When you saw me standing there in awe You took just a moment to recognize me Then you kept on dancing You were not embarrassed To be free I spent the next year Convincing you That you were in love with me But like the leaves in the wind You were born to dance free Caught up in the swirl of life It’s been so many years now I can hardly remember your face But I can always feel your spirit When I dance in the field With my arms in the air

A beautiful poem.
