Description

FE & PS Thanks, everyone, for the cherished welcome back, for the comments, and the favs. And, it's always such a blast to read you guys' interpretations of images, to hear what your mind's eye sees within them. I dearly love that. It's almost as much fun as getting to create these in the first place. And thanks, too, to Viv and Barb for adding Poppet Trees to the Fractal Window Weekly. I'm always touched, honored, and absolutely humbled to find one of mine getting to keep company with so many splendid works, from the brilliantly talented lot of you! Love and light, dear folks..and wishes for an uncomplicated week ahead. :) N.

Nancy I am always so happy to see your newest work of art as it is so rare that you upload. The moment I saw the title I came as fast as I could to see what you had come up with and I must say I was not disappointed. Vibrant and expressive are the first thoughts I had and then I was scrambling to look up Elephantine Islands to see if you drew some inspiration from there.

Looks like a flame fanner, Nancy. What a beauty and probably one of the coolest pieces of fractal art I've seen. Excellent work in all aspects!

You've taken us to another world. Not even Hubble can take us here. A far distant place, where magic is still a vibrant part of life. Lightning strikes the ground .. and an exquisite elephantine Phoenix rises from the ashes ..

Such a gorgeous work of art. This reminds me of an Indian Elephant all dressed in traditional garb for a festival. Beautiful creation.

so wonderful colours and shapes, unfolds like a landscape to me and my eyes change between the upper part, which seems so close, and the lower part so far away. and it was a pleasure to stop by here again, quite some time ago. you take care on your way and until next time, be well!

Your fractals are always so alive...so natural, which isn't surprising since nature makes use of fractals every moment of every day! I love the colors in this, especially since I always go for color whenever I look at something and try to "feel" it. That's strage because you can't actually "feel" colors, but they do impart a partcular sort of emotional feeling as well as a kind of tactile whisper. This is fantastic work, and I love the fact that I can see something elaphantine in it, but also something rather mosquito-like in ways that could be ominous if mosquitos were actually the size of this image. I think of a female mosquito's piercing mouth parts when I see the downward sloping, slightly barbed shape. Great work.

Fabulous image. wonderful depth. It seems to tell a story of quantum mechanics... or something like that, magnified.
