Description

English history has always fascinated me. (I'm a historian by trade.) I love English fashion, also, and books like Forever Amber, set in England. Even though the name of this character is Bathsheba (by Yakchat), the fictional Amber was in my mind when I put this render together. I imagined Amber might have been wearing something like this the day she met Bruce. Or the day they attended the fair together. Here, English Rose stands in the Enchanted Enclave (from DAZ) in the dead of night, waiting for her lover, with a bottle of Love Potion # 9 in hand. (Actually, it's the perfume bottle from Fab and Ilona's Love Poison set but props must serve many purposes in my Runtimes.) :-))) Credits: Character: Bathsheba, by Yakchat Hair: Inari (DAZ -- goldtassel) Outfit: V4 DressUp Chest by yours truly (available in my Free Stuff section) Textures: Holly Lane's Rose Garden (DAZ) Background: Enchanted Enclave (DAZ) Bottle: Love Poison prop (Fabi and Ilona) Rendered in Poser 8, using custom lights and D3D Perfect Skin python script. I love that thang! Thanks for looking! :-) Jan

Thanks, Carol! :-) Bathsheba is such a beauty. She's become one of my favorite characters. You character artists are so talented. And I'm glad you like the dress! I know I used Bathsheba as a blonde here, instead of dark, but I think she makes as pretty a blonde as she does a witchy woman! :-) I'm so glad you like her outfit. I hope you find some use for it. Thank you for downloading it and thank you for the comment. You're a sweetheart and I send you lotsa love right back!!! :-) Jan

It is a lovely scene, but the bottle makes her look sinister.

Hm...makes you think of a bottle of poison? Thanks for the crit! I'll have to re-think my setup more carefully next time. I wanted 'mysterous allure,' but I didn't want sinister. :-) I'll think these scenes through more carefully from now on! :-) Thank you for the comment. I do appreciate criticism as well as praise. ;-) Jan

Maybe if I'd put a 'glow' around the top of the bottle, I might've gotten closer to the concept I had in mind. :-)

Thank you...I was trying to put a bit of elegance into this one. The background was a bit difficult to decide on, but finally I chose DAZ's Enchanted Enclave. It seemed to fit. :-) Thanks again, Marcia. You are a very kind and sweet person. Jan

all history has always fascinated me,history in conjunction with geography, without bragging i can say i was the best in my class . history and of course fantasy helped me a lot in my childhood to get away from home at least in my mind. and i liked school as well ,because i did not get beaten there as i was at home. i read in your bio that you stopped teaching before loosing the rest of your marbles (lol) and i must say in my time we had respect for our teachers a normal public school i am talking, and because we had respect we learned,. i always "used" my teachers if i may say so to suck all the knowledge out of them for my intellect i think you know what i mean. when i first went to a class reunion after 25 years of having left that place one of the teachers made me the biggest of compliments. he said rene you where the laziest sob we had but also the only one who came up with the right q and as. wich means learning was always easy to me and i aceepted it as a gift. enough of me dont want to sound boring.. nice work here sorry i got carried away in memories.

It was interesting, Rene! :-) I'm glad you like history -- you can tell I do. It influences everything I do! Anyway, if you like history -- maybe you'll like my models. ;-) Regards to your wife...she seems to be a huge influence in your life. And I thank you for the nice comments and encouragement you've given me. And yes, I did retire from teaching because I was about to go bonkers. So now I justify my existence by doing 3D models, freebies up till now. I gotta do something to 'give back' since I can't do it in the education field anymore. :-) Now, it's me who got strung out! See ya -- and thanks again. Jan
