Description

I saw this building along the main drag in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Buildings like this one remind me of the fact that this part of the country at one time belonged to Mexico. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer of these kinds of buildings are around and this one was condemned by the city. This picture was taken on 4 October 2009. Thank you for viewing, commenting, and favs, Sig...

Despite the fact it looks like it is about to collapse under its own weight it is a great looking building. Sad that you do see less and less of this style architecture. It always looked so nice.

I love this kind of buildings! I think it's a mistake to demolish them because we lose a piece of history. Great picture!

I always have enjoyed driving through New Mexico the colors of the homes, and structures are so unique, this would make a great movie setting or video background super looking place...

looks like it may have been a motel. I like this adobe style and it is a shame that it will be torn down. excellent shot Sig

@Richardphotos. There were several small stores in there, including a tattoo studio and some small apartments toward the rear!

Like walking back in time. A shame to change and a nice shot! I like Quemado for the same reason.

wonderful shot, I'm very sorry they condemned this very beautiful building. I remember they destroyed a once very famous hotel in the typical Southwestern style, built by the Santa Fe railroad in the early 1900s. They made a documentary on it, and they were spealing of building a copy of the old one. I don't say more, we can write bad words in RR.
