I think this is a lorakeet.correct me if I am wrong. it was in my driveway and when I went to empty trash it did not seem afraid so I grabbed my camera.I got about 15 feet away before it flew away

I would rather say it is an American Goldfinch as they tend to hang around backyards looking for special feed a neighbor here puts out food for all types of birds and I see many gold, yellow and black red robins come by ,either way he/she??is fabulous looking what a great shot!~

This bird is an Australian grass parrot or Budgerigar (Native Name). Sometimes called a parakeet. They are very common as pets all over the world. Budgies are bred with many different colours and patterns. This one I think is a yellow/green palewing..(female)

Farout Richard! Are these native where you live, or is the poor bird abandoned?

I think that is someone's pet. I'm quite sure they are not native to Texas but Australia! He's beautiful. Did he talk to you? I had a friend who had a white one and he learned to speak quite well. He would make up his own jokes and then laugh hysterically, at his own jokes. He thought he was quite funny and he was. Great shot.

Wow - that's amazing that it's a wild Lorykeet. I've only seen them at the zoo. Beautiful little yellow guy too.
