Description
I think this is a lorakeet.correct me if I am wrong. it was in my driveway and when I went to empty trash it did not seem afraid so I grabbed my camera.I got about 15 feet away before it flew away

According to what I was told by my boyfriend and his mother-they have a few birds themselves-this is a yellow finch. But, I myself am not sure. A very beautiful bird though! It's getting way too cold here in missouri for all the exotic birds. Cardinals are getting abundant. Great shot! Velvet.

Think what you have is some kind of parakeet .. Monk Parakeets are found almost everywhere, escapees that have survived and formed flocks. Even in Brooklyn, and I just saw something about them in Brussels!! I imagine the smaller parakeets or Budgies as they are also known, can survive in the south if they escape from someone's home. Cute little guy!
