Description

So finally - mom just carried little Jonty back to the safety of the family... This is the final in the series of three images about this feisty little cub that I called Jonty. This image, (although not perfect because of his feet not completely in the frame)is my favourite by far! I love the gentleness of this lioness as she carries this tiny little cub in her dangerous jaw without so much as a scratch!! And I think to myself - how often do we as humans just need a nudge or someone to pick us up and carry us to safety!! O well, I'm rambling! I'll give you all a break from the lions for a day or two... then I'll upload the other 258 lion images I snapped on Sunday... LOL... Just kidding! Thanks for the click and for your valued comments and favs on this series! Stay well! Hugs, Carin xx

Mom has him in a "sleeper hold"...an old professional wrestling hold from the 1950s. Have loved this series of three!

Awe these are so cute, and if you did have 258 photos of the lions I would so be there. I am a big feline lover! As with the last I loved this one too. Great shot Carin, you have a great eye.

There you go, total submission he can no longer resist, he is captured hook line and sinker and ready to be taken wherever his mother wants to take him. Wish we had the same sort of skills in the human world Ha ha! Thank you Carin for your latest 3 wonderful African wildlife shots, they were fabulous and brought a much needed smile to my face dear friend. hugs Jane xx

Awwww MOM!!!.................Beautiful scene, moms usually win out, and it's so hard to get away with anything while they're around! I never could figure out that eyes on the back of their heads thing. This was a great trio of scenes, and so very well captured! Thanks so much for sharing them with us!

258 more lion images to come?! I don't think I have that many lion jokes to go along with that! In any case, this is another magnificent capture of the gorgeous regal lioness as she carries her issue gently back to her family lair, Carin! Splendid miniseries, young lady!

Stunning capture..this was my favorite as well. Once, a mother lion observed one of her cubs chasing a hunter in circles around a tree. The mother lion exclaimed, 'How many times do I have to tell you not to play with your dinner?' See a little lion humor too...lol 143 xoxox
