Description

Little Cherokee wing - Riding with the wind. Inspiration from a song. #:o) A song. of which i also used in my old gallery. This is a new version of the song, and the image. Recently i found a brilliant acoustic, cover version of Jimi Hendrix' "Little wing", performed by the irish group, The Corrs: Click here to hear The Corrs version This is Hendrix' own live version of "Little wing", from a Royal Albert Hall concert: Click here to hear the Hendrix version I always liked the song "Little wing" by Jimi Hendrix, a lot. For many different reasons. I learned to play it myself, on electrical guitar, when i was approx. 20 years old, and i played it a lot since then. It is a beautiful ballad. But it is also his thoughts about his mother, Lucille Hendrix. Both Jimi Hendrix and his mother, grandmother, aso. had Cherokee blood in their veins. Jimi Hendrix's alcoholic mother died of cirrhosis, when she was 33 years old. Hendrix was only 14 years old at the time. So as you can imagine, he had as nasty childhood. It might have affected his life a lot. And maybe it even made him a member, of the 27-club. Still i find it, that he beautifully express his feelings, about the early loss of his mother, through out songs like "Little wing", and also ,"Castles made of sand". If Hendrix had been a painter, it would have came out in a painting. But a musician and composer, use a song instead of a brush. Not much to say about my private situation yet. It seems i am to become homeless from 15.th. of October. I am packing everything i have, into boxes, to be stored in a warehouse, for a while. Packing is hard work, so i will allow myself to post 1 more image, except for this one, before October 15.th. Working with graphics is a good way to relax. My last image in these galleries, at least for a while, will most likely be posted on Tuesday or Wedensday next week. Then i must pack my computer, and have it brought to a warehouse, with the rest of my stuff. I never tried to be homeless in my life. Homelessness never existed much in the danish society. But it has become awfully trendy, during the past 10-15 years. And i get my chance to experience it now. It would have been more fun in April or May, i guess...#;oD.. October is the first winter month in Denmark, thankfully only with slight frost. #;oD Jimi Hendrix - Daz David3 with heavy morphs. Lucille "Little wing" Hendrix - V4. And lots of other products.

Beautiful image Lars and your thoughts on the theme behind it were inspiring. My heart breaks to hear the news you may soon be homeless my friend and I pray you will consider some of the things I said to you in our emails. This is the time to turn to your family and friends. You may not realize it but given the chance I'm sure a lot of people will reach out to help you whom you've inspired in the past.

Oh my goodness... I'm at a loss for words, Lars. I guess all I can really say is to please take care of yourself and I hope that you are able to find somewhere to settle as soon as you can. I wish I could help. v.v hugs If you have anyone you can turn to out there, please do so. The worst thing that will happen is that you are in the same situation now, so it's a risk worth taking to ask for help if you are able. Best wishes, friend, and hope to see you sooner rather than later.

My friend this is outstanding work here and your write up on Hendrix makes my heart sing. I agree with all you've said and know it to be true as I knew him for a short time in my early life. I use to cut school and hang out in music stores in NYC and he came in to buy equpt one day and well the rest was my personel history ~smile~ So much I could say but you know what I mean already. Use your local library to get on line and communicate with us. Remember! Homelessness is a state of mind not physical

Well, she's walking through the clouds, With a circus mind that's running wild, Butterflies and Zebras, And Moonbeams and fairy tales. That's all she ever thinks about. Riding with the wind. When I'm sad, she comes to me, With a thousand smiles she gives to me free. It's alright, she says it's alright, Take anything you want from me, Anything. Fly on little wing. here you go brother ,i looked it up for you. wonderful how you always integrate your thoughts and feelings together with the inspiration from the music in your works. very well done this work-and keep on bringing them. very precious works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!fav.

Lars, My Heart goes out to you, and reading what you've shared here with us makes my heart sink, hoping that somehow I could help you. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you right now, and I commend you for coming across as being most brave and strong in your words, as well as presenting such a powerful image.. Riding with the wind is a superb title, and perhaps it is a blessing, rather than a curse that you have been faced with this situation in your life, right now. There must be something out there for you to find, or learn. Everything and everyone is constantly in flux, as I'm sure you're aware.. and circumstances will change, for the better for you. I'm sure of it, and in fact, I will keep you in my prayers for this to happen sooner than later. Please keep in touch with us,somehow to let us know what;s going on; and in the meantime, be well, and know that your images are most beautiful, particularly this one, so very spiritual and breath-taking... a magical and dreamy atmosphere.... and a most lovely horse in the background as well! lots of hugs

Wonderful image and thoughts behind it. But it is overwhelmed by the sadness I feel at your situation. I am overwhelmed - what will we do here without you? For you, for many of us, are a voice of reason in an insane world, the expression of heart in an uncaring world. Take care my friend. If you can (internet cafe?), please drop us a line once in awhile and let us know how you are doing...

My heart breaks at this news I'm reading. It is sad how quickly our lives can turn .. how suddenly our security and safety can be ripped away from us. My thoughts and my prayers are ever with you. My hope is that things will again change quickly, for the better. A beautiful image, beautifully presented with such heartfelt feelings .. The Corrs' version is incredible.
